PVC tape and PVC electrical tape are made from plasticized polyvinyl chloride (PVC) of standard and premium quality. They are then covered with a strong pressure-sensitive adhesive to enable adherence to a variety of surface types, including rough and difficult-to-stick settings.
Polyester tape is thin, conformable, tough, highly tear resistant. Recommended for insulating connections, crossover insulation and barrier insulation on small bobbin wound coils; and for holding layer and barrier insulation on stick wound coils.
Superior tape is made of polyester. For SMPS transformers and electrical relays operating at temperatures as high as 130°, polyester tape is generally used as general-purpose insulation.

PTFE glass cloth tapes offer a non-stick, abrasion-resistant surface made to be durable in high temperature applications. To continually provide a range of solutions that strike a balance between cost and performance, several backings and adhesive systems are integrated.
